Khaleeji is a family, not a single dialect. The Arabic spoken in Riyadh is different from Dubai. Both are different from Muscat. All are different from Modern Standard Arabic.

Seven variants, one family.
Cozmo handles each sub-dialect natively. Below is what each variant sounds like and where customers expect it.
Coastal Khaleeji. Heavily influenced by trade and contact with South Asia. Most customer-service-friendly of the Gulf variants.
Central Arabian. The most distinctive sub-dialect. Uses أبغى for "want" and الحين for "now". Default for Riyadh.
Western Arabian. Closer to Egyptian than to Najdi. Uses دحين for "now" and the Egyptian-style هو/هي pronouns.
Northern Gulf. Carried across the region by Kuwaiti television and music. Often serves as a Khaleeji lingua franca.
Close to broader Khaleeji. Two main variants on the island: urban (Bahrani) and rural (Sunni) Arabic.
Northern Gulf. Close to Bahraini and Emirati. Indistinguishable to non-native ears, but customers notice the difference.
The most distinct of the Khaleeji sub-dialects. Geographically separated by the Hajar mountains. Bahla, Sur and Salalah variants further inside.
The formal register. Used when the customer prefers MSA or when dialect detection is ambiguous. Default for written and broadcast Arabic.
Not Khaleeji, but the most widely understood Arabic dialect across the Gulf. Often the right call for expat Egyptian customers in the GCC.

Which Khaleeji sub-dialects are in production?
Emirati, Najdi, Hejazi, Kuwaiti, Bahraini, Qatari and Omani. Modern Standard Arabic and Egyptian are also in production as common fallbacks across the Gulf. All Arabic dialects are supported on the platform.
How does Cozmo know which sub-dialect to use?
Dialect detection runs from the first sentence of the caller's speech. The agent matches what it hears. For ambiguous calls, you can configure a default sub-dialect by market or fall back to MSA.
Can it switch dialects mid-call?
Yes. If the caller switches register, the agent follows. Common scenarios: customer starts in Najdi, code-switches to English, the agent stays in sync.

How does Cozmo handle dialect variation within a country?
Within Saudi Arabia, Najdi (central) and Hejazi (western) are handled as distinct variants. The agent detects which the caller uses. Eastern Province (Hasawi) callers default to Najdi register.
